For you LCMS Lutherans out there, you’ve probably heard the recent news concerning the (relatively) controversial Specific Ministry Pastorate (SMP) program. Namely, the new requirement that anyone attending the program must be at least 40 years of age. As mentioned in my last entry, I was in the process of studying for the entrance exams for this program. Unfortunately I’m about 7 years short of the new age requirement.

[ 2025-03-14 ] - The Metaverse and the Death of Keyboards

Many have watched the Metaverse Promo from Connect 2021, and come away thoroughly creeped out. While I can relate to that reaction, what kept running through my head were not thoughts of a dystopian future ruled by tech conglomerates, or how Zuckerberg himself looks like he was generated in the Metaverse. Instead, I kept thinking about the complete lack of keyboards in the video.
